Unite in Worship & Prayer

Join us for a prayer filled day of community and faith. Listen to local speakers, worship along with local Christian bands, and unite in prayer for our riverbend community, schools, businesses, and government. Take a moment of peace in our designated prayer tent, where you can seek support and intercession. Kids are invited to express their creativity with sidewalk chalk, adding their own prayers and artwork to the amphitheater sidewalks.

Whether you drop by for a brief moment or bring a lawn chair and stay for the entire day, you’re welcome to join in the spirit of worship and prayer. Don’t miss out on this meaningful opportunity to come together as a community and lift our hearts in prayer.

This free event is not-for-profit and seeks to unify our riverbend community through prayer and worship.

We are still in need of volunteers to help make this event a success. Whether it’s lending a hand with cleanup, offering volunteer services, preparing meals, or serving as prayer tent intercessors, your contribution is valued.

To sign up as a volunteer please fill out the form below. Thank you!

Join Us By Volunteering

In this season, it is imperative for the body of Christ to come together to worship and pray for our cities. As the lyrics of the song go, “Down by the riverside, we will gather as one, lifting our voices in prayer, seeking God’s will to be done.” We believe that through united prayer, we can bring about transformation and revival in our community.

The Alton Amphitheater will serve as a sacred space where we can come together as local churches to seek the face of God and intercede for our community. We will lift our voices in worship, declaring the goodness and faithfulness of our Lord. Together, we will pray for healing, unity, and revival in our cities.

This endeavor is larger than any one church!
We invite you to participate in the following ways:

1. Volunteer:
We would love to have you join us in planning, organizing or serving alongside us during the event. We will need individuals who are willing to intercede on behalf of others, as well as logistical support throughout the day. To learn more about how your church or organization can participate, please reach out to us via the form on this page!

2. Spread the news:
Follow and share this event on social media and promote this event within your church.

3. Join us in prayer walks:
Prior to the event we will be organizing prayer walks. These walks serve as a tangible expression of our intercession for our neighborhoods, schools, businesses and government.

4. Invite your church family:
Join us in this powerful time of prayer and worship at the Alton Amphitheater. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 2, 2024, and spread the word among your congregation.

We believe that as we gather by the riverside, the Holy Spirit will move mightily, bringing about transformation in our hearts, our churches, and our community. Let us join hands and hearts as we pray for our cities and seek God’s will together.
